In New York State you have the absolute right to select the collision shop of your choice. No insurance company, independent agent, representative, appraiser, adjuster or staff member can legally make you go to any other collision auto repair shop than the one you choose. Nor can these people tell you that you have to have the vehicle inspected at their drive in claims center. You can request to have your car inspected at your chosen location.
